The tautness and quality of your tightrope is all that
separates you from an endless drop. The only thing you can
do is to check the rope before you start walking.
It is impossible to avoid clichés completely, just as it is
impossible to avoid rediscovering learned knowledge. But
one can tread carefully, treating them as one might mines
buried in a field.
Writers and artists should be seen and not heard. Whenever
they speak, it is sadly disappointing.
Just as dance is a form of language, so language is a form
of dance. However, dance has never been so brutal and ugly
as when dressed in language.
There is no quality of the human mind that separates us
from animals; only our upright posture and larynx makes us
more than monkeys. The rest is logic taken to its unnatural
conclusion.
